New Brands in the Automobile Tire and Rim Industry Offer Customers More Variety


The luxury automobile industry is a booming one and because of this so is the automobile tire and rim industry. In the past 15 years, there has been an evident rise in trade within this industry. The industry has been open to more and more imports as well, and has also witnessed production of luxury automobile rims and tires. Along with eastern companies, notably Japanese, Korean, etc., there are also signs of non-eastern companies competing in the industry. There are many notable companies as well. In recent years, there have been more and more automobile tires and rims from major producers. With a new and well-appreciated brand, there is indication that there will be more tires and rims from well-known international brands available to the consumers. Marketers have been quick to note the progress and success of different tire and rim products in the automobile tire and rim industry. They have observed the manner in which the earliest brands entered Pakistan, and also how some of them formed mergers with local investment groups. Based on investment of this kind and brand recognition, marketers have been able to devise marketing strategies that have helped newcomers to the luxury automobile tire and rim industry successfully. After observing how established tire and rim brands have been launched in the industry, it is generally thought that there are two ways to go about it; either the brand can be merged with a local group if it is not known well or it can be launched independently if it is a globally recognized brand. Other than these two approaches, a company may devise its own marketing strategy if it is unknown and aim at marketing itself independently. The automobile tire and rim industry is one that has blossomed and shows signs of greater growth. At present, there is a wide range from these producers in the market, but there is immense room and expectation of a greater range to enter the industry as well. This is due to the encouraging and favorable situations for industrial growth, politically, economically and even socially speaking. It has been observed that competitors in the luxury automobile tire and rim industry have developed strategies that have been successful, and these trends are expected to continue for newer competitors. Given the favorable situation for a automobile tire and rim industry distributor, entering the industry is dependent on how competitive a company’s product is with regard to particular variables. These variables or factors may be considered in a marketing strategy in order to choose an appropriate balance for introduction and marketing a brand. Whether, a competitor is an internationally recognized brand or a new one in the market, these factors for marketing it are of great importance, and the idea of a correct balance among them is of equal importance. Another important point in entering the luxury automobile industry is that newer brands in operation would be better off if they could merge with a local investor or an automobile company. This would help a new brand that is not well recognized yet to enter the market. By merging with a local group, marketing would be made more convenient and effective, as a local group would know how to go about marketing an automobile brand that newly enters an automobile tire and rim industry.
